Creative for Life

Creative for Life is an artistic program for adults, offering the chance to get creative, meet others, get mentally healthy, and have fun too! Participants do not have to have any experience or skill in art making. The aim of the project is not about perfecting an art, but rather about effecting change and growth through artistic expression in a safe and supportive environment. Creative for Life offers short courses (10-weeks) in different art-forms, including; creative writing, photography, puppet-making, film making; upcycle (junk modelling), visual art and music. Sessions are usually 2 hours in length and run once a week by professional artists. The program is modelled on the original London program run by Green Shoes Arts, which Globe Town Project Artistic Director Miles Openshaw co-founded. Globe Town Project is currently looking for potential referral partners, participants, and funding for Creative for Life in Fremantle and Perth regions.
